Laurrana Leigon

My work lies in assisting the individual and their families with end of life transitions on an emotional and spiritual level as a death doula.

My background includes a diverse exposure to life and death through a humanistic approach. In early childhood I was mentored by my Armenian grandmother in the intuitive arts which cultivated my natural abilities.

I graduated with honors from Sonoma State University with post-graduate work from the Psychology and Hypnotherapy Institute in Boulder, Colorado. I was asked to be on staff with the Institute and became the Southern Colorado regional director.

My career in hospice fortuitously occurred as a social worker. It metamorphosed as I found myself at the bedside of those transitioning to another world. Soon my heart knew what was to be my lifelong purpose. Active roles with hospice include Comfort Care Coordinator, Spiritual Care Coordinator, Bereavement Support, Grief Support Group Facilitator, Complementary Therapies Coordinator, and Palliative Care programing implementation. Extensive worked with PTSD and Trauma.

For my lifelong experiences with death and dying, I owe infinite gratitude to my mother who shared with us a deep recognition of the circle of life while honoring the end of life process.

Embracing these times of change and welcoming the unity and respect for life woven from the fabric of love and compassion.
